About Us
Roy Coffee, Jr. started raising and racing pigeons with his older brother at the age of 10. A lawyer and a business man, living near Downtown Dallas, Coffee reentered the sport in 1986, and joined the "Red Oak Racing Pigeon Club". His interest was developing a family of Hofkens based pigeons that could compete in races from 100 to 600 miles.
Although winning at the Club, Combine and Concourse levels, Coffee found great opportunity to partner with Royce Bynum in 1999. Royce Bynum is one of the long time successful fanciers in the Dallas area.
In 2002, Coffee and Bynum moved their loft to Argyle, Texas, racing with the Dallas Homing Pigeon Club, then with the very competitive "Denton Invitational Racing Pigeon Club". Pineview was very successful in winning again at the club, Concourse and Federation races. Pineview also started sending birds to highly popular one loft races around the country and won the very prestigious Vegas.com Race in 2006, Texas Shoot Out 300 mile and Denton Challenge. Please see our "Accomplishments" link to view more wins.
Pineview became Crestview Loft in 2007 when they moved to "the ultimate pigeon rookery"... new loft, vista and house. Crestview Loft would earn a reputation of distinction and respect from all those interested in the racing pigeon sport.
Royce & Mildred back in 2011
After a two year retirement to Northeast Texas. We decided we were not quite ready to give up Crestview and the Denton IRPC club racing. While we were away flying one loft races only, we established Mammoth Lofts with Lance and Paula Wilbanks flying none other than the Coffee Blend from Crestview Loft. Our 2009 - 2010 race season brought us much success. We are back and ready to combine Crestview Loft with Mammoth Lofts to keep the Coffee Blend flying and winning. See accomplishments this website.

A Note From Royce and Mildred Bynum:
Welcome
to Crestview Loft. First of all my wife, Mildred, and I would both like to thank Roy Coffee for letting us be part of this great pigeon operation. Not only are we loft managers, we have formed a partnership with Roy to enter loft races. We can truthfully say that we feel blessed by this friendship.
Mildred and I have been married for almost 40 years with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. I have had pigeons for 50 years. Got my first birds in 1959 at the age of 12 years old in Garland Texas. Have flown birds in Arizona, Colorado, and Oklahoma. Won my first race in the Pikes Peak Homing Club in 1964 (200m). I still have the trophy and the diploma that I won in that race.
Fate brought me back to the DFW area where I met Mildred after the U.S. Army and my tour of duty in Vietnam.
We always look forward to each race season, young and old birds as members of the Denton Invitational Racing Pigeon Club of the North Texas Concourse. There is always something good to eat and drink at Crestview Loft on race day while waiting and watching for birds. Some days there is only 3 of us and other days there might be 30 or more. But one thing's for sure, we are always having FUN. We can be in the vista watching football, in the pigeon nest lookout (30 feet in the air), or down at ground level. Even at ground level you can see for miles. That's why we named it Crestview Loft and the sunsets are beautiful.
Hope you enjoy the web site of Crestview Loft. We have put together here a nice home, Vista, and one heck of a loft. Our Hofkin family of birds could possibly be the best in the country. CHECK OUT THE CRESTVIEW WEBSITE AND HAVE FUN WITH US.
Yours in the Great Sport of Pigeon Racing,
Royce and Mildred Bynum
